About the Event
Let Sunday morning dance be a sanctuary for your soul. You will find refuge and connection in inspiring music, warm community and on point facilitation.Movement offers opportunities to release, ground, center and connect with JOY!
Expect occasional and gentle guidance during your dance which you can choose to engage or not. This guidance will support you to connect with the treasure chest of resources movement offers, so that your dance leaves you ready to move with all that your life brings.
If it is your first time you can expect to be warmly welcomed. Get yourself along. Every "Body" welcome. Dance will be held outside on the Bristol Green. A large outdoor space with ample room for everyone.
If it rains stay tuned for a postponement the following Sunday or the Sunday after that.
HOW MUCH IS A CLASS? $25 (Full) $18 (Unwaged)
Tickets must be purchased online before class at: https://www.hester.nz/events
Until the traffic light system changes, class size is limited to 25 people. Tickets do sell out! Bookings essential.
Email me hester@hester.nz if you are experiencing financial hardship. No one will ever be turned away from the dance!

Pandemic Protocols
Let our pandemic dance floor be a celebration of what connects us: The Earth, The Sky, The Beat and Spirit and at the same time "move and include" that we have different responses to Covid. To ensure every "body" who wishes to dance feels welcome, our beautiful outdoor dance floor will be marked down the middle with fairy lights. Unvaccinated and other dancers who choose will dance on the left side of the dance floor and vaccinated dancers on the right.
As a therapist and a community member I’ve learnt that being with what is, however uncomfortable, is the route to the genuine connection we all long for. I hold a space of being with what is. You're invited to be honest to whatever feelings are true for you, fear, anger, joy etc and put them into your dance. In turning up in this way I invite us to bring wellbeing to ourselves and also perhaps healing to the world as a whole.
Bristol Green is a large inviting outdoor space so there is ample space for everyone to have the distance they want from others. Please also as we near the height of the pandemic wear masks until we start dancing.
Please bring your own drink bottle, hand sanitiser will be available and please sign in.

This ticket gives you access to one Sunday class at a lower rate on a sliding scale. Sliding scales are a tool of economic justice. We ask that if you have the means to pay at the top of the scale please do so, allowing others, for whom cost is a barrier, to have the opportunity to participate in this group at whatever place on the scale that they can manage. Thank you
